Wallet cards. Always at hand, never lost.

Loyalty cards, gift vouchers and business cards go straight into Apple Wallet or Google Wallet on your customers' phones. At the counter you scan the code, and the card shows the new balance right away.

In short

  • The Mundara Group designs and builds wallet cards for businesses: stamp and loyalty cards, gift vouchers, membership and ten-visit passes, and digital business cards for Apple Wallet and Google Wallet.
  • Customers add the card to their phone via a link or QR code, with no extra app; stamps, remaining balance and expiry date update by themselves.
  • At the counter, your team scans the code with a phone or tablet in a redemption app that runs independently of your till and logs every transaction.
  • Set-up is a one-off payment priced by scope, and running starts at €79 a month, including hosting of the database, backups, updates and support, cancellable monthly; both are set out in the quote after a free intro call.
  • The agency is based in Gimbsheim in Rheinhessen, Germany, between Mainz and Mannheim, with a core team in Germany and Bali and a partner in Croatia, working for clients locally and internationally.

What we do. Cards for the phone, an app for the counter.

  • Stamp and loyalty card

One stamp per visit, the reward always in sight. The card shows how many are left and sends a short notification after every stamp.

  • Gift voucher

Bought online or issued at the counter, with balance, expiry date and the name of the person receiving it. The card keeps track of whatever is left after a purchase.

  • Digital business card

For you and your team: name, number and website in the wallet. Anyone who scans the code has your contact in their address book, no typing needed.

  • Redemption app for the counter

Scan the code, enter the amount, done. Every transaction is logged with time and receipt number, and no voucher can be redeemed twice.

How it looks. With your customer and at the counter.

Tap the button at the counter: the card on the phone shows the new balance straight away. For the example, we imagined Mundara as a beauty studio, in the look of our 3D body care line.

How to use it. Wherever customers come back.

Café and bakery

Hair and beauty
Gift vouchers to give away, bought online even in the evening. Whatever is left after the appointment, the card shows by itself.
Yoga and fitness
A ten-visit pass that counts along, or a membership card for check-in. No paper card falling apart in the gym bag.
Shop and boutique
A loyalty card with a perk for regulars and gift vouchers for the Christmas season, at the till as well as online.
Restaurant
Vouchers for birthdays and holidays that don't vanish in a drawer and get used down to the last euro.

What it costs.

The set-up depends on which cards you need, whether vouchers are also sold online and at how many places they are redeemed. Running starts at €79 a month: hosting of the database, backups, updates and support, cancellable monthly with no minimum term. Both are set out in your quote after a free intro call.

Frequently asked questions.

Do my customers need a separate app?

No. Apple Wallet comes pre-installed on every iPhone, and Google Wallet is available for Android. Your customers tap a link or scan a QR code and add the card with a single tap.

What happens if a customer loses their phone?

Stamps and balance aren't stored only on the card but in your system. We simply send the card again and the old one becomes invalid. Nothing gets lost.

Does a voucher disappear from the wallet by itself?

It isn't deleted. The wallet hides expired or fully redeemed cards, and they can still be viewed among the expired cards. That's why we set the expiry date deliberately. In Germany, vouchers are generally subject to the three-year limitation period ending at the close of the year, and shorter periods are often invalid; rules differ in other countries. This is guidance only and is not legal advice.

Can customers get a voucher on paper too?

Yes. Every voucher can be printed with the same code, which is handy for anyone who prefers something in their hand and for vouchers you sell at the counter. It's redeemed the same way, and the remaining balance is kept in the system.

Do I need a new till?

No. The redemption app runs in the browser on a phone or tablet, independently of your till. In the till you book the voucher as a payment method as usual. How to treat vouchers for tax purposes is something to clarify with your tax adviser.

Can a voucher be redeemed twice?

No. When scanning, the redemption app checks the current balance. A copied code shows the same balance, not double, and every transaction is logged with time and receipt number.

Where is the data stored?

Stamps, balances and card details are kept in a database with Supabase in its Frankfurt data centre (EU), and transfers are encrypted. The card itself sits in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet on your customers' phones, and with Google Wallet also in their Google account. We only store what the card needs, such as the name on a voucher. We provide the data processing agreement before launch.

How much do wallet cards cost?

Running, including hosting of the database, backups, updates and support, starts at €79 a month, cancellable monthly with no minimum term. The set-up depends on which cards you need, whether vouchers are sold online and at how many places they are redeemed; it is set out in the quote after a free intro call.

  • Apps

    Digitalise your shop

Stamp cards get lost, gift vouchers vanish into drawers, and the phone rings just when customers are waiting. Much of this can move onto the phone, without a new till and without your customers needing an app. Seven ideas that make a real difference day to day, and what your shop gains from them.

  • Technology

    Tech for small businesses

The laptop starts every morning with updates, the printer only works from the office PC, and guests share the Wi-Fi with the till. Tech usually only gets noticed when it gets in the way. What a small business really needs, what to look for when buying, and what applies to tills and card machines.
